Learn life saving infant and child CPR at home
Learn how to save your child’s life today!
We never expect to be faced with a life threatening situation, let alone when it’s your own child. I speak to expecting parents, new parents and parents with multiple children each week and everyone has the same fear, what if that happened to us. The best advice I can give is to educate yourself on infant and child CPR, because you never know or expect to have to save your own child’s life.
If you don’t know me already, I’m Felicity, a qualified Paediatric Registered Nurse of 14 years. I teach infant and child CPR and first aid courses in the Melbourne community with Child Revive. Child Revive was started nearly 10 years by Amanda, a Mother who is also a devoted Paramedic. Her Mother’s group expressed interest in learning infant and child CPR. In 2010 most CPR/first aid courses were heavily adult focused and there was a desire from parents to learn more focused infant and child training. What started as a passion project to educate her Mother’s group turned into a thriving business. Amanda wanted to be able to close a gap in the market, for all parents to be able to learn infant and child CPR/first aid, at an affordable price point. Child Revive now employs many instructors, we are all Mothers and either experienced Paramedics or Paediatric Registered Nurses. This is how Child Revive first aid is so different than a lot of our competitors, we are specialists in children and not just trainers or instructors.
Empowering and educating parents on how to handle an emergency situation is a passion of mine. Knowing that I can help relieve some stress and anxiety about infant and child CPR and give those parents the tools to handle that life saving situation, feels like a gift. Each year more parents and grand parents are keen to learn infant and child CPR/first aid, which is amazing. I personally thank all attendees at courses for making this a priority and taking the time out to learn. When we think of all the baby items on the market, this is truly one of the most important, it can help you save a life.
Child Revive has taught thousands of families over the years on how to effectively and quickly handle an emergency situation. From how to recognise a sick child, early intervention and all the way through to stepping into CPR. We aren’t focused on complicated medical terminology, we are focused on delivering straight forward and easy learning content. It’s not just about CPR either, we teach how to recognise chocking and the appropriate interventions. I actually find this is the biggest reason parents attend our courses, the fear and anxiety of a chocking child.
Parents, care givers and Grandparents, leave our courses feeling a sense of relief. They feel more equipped to handle a vast variety of emergency situations should it happen. They feel informed as we bust all the myths out there surrounding chocking, fever and febrile convulsions. Attendees are surprised by how much useful information we provide in a short amount of time and are glad they took the time out to attend a course. They now realise it wasn’t a chore but an incredible life skill.
Child Revive first aid is normally in person all throughout the Melbourne community. However due to the current climate with COVID 19, we are adapting to virtual learning. The course will cover, recognising an emergency situation, CPR, chocking, fever and febrile convulsions. You will be receiving our jammed packed PDF guide which will become a valuable resource for years to come. The course is a super price at $45 and you get to learn in the comfort of your own home.

We never expect to be faced with these situations and never think they’ll happen to us. I have as a Mother been faced with febrile convulsions and complete chocking when home alone with my children. Having the knowledge and skills to handle this made all the difference, you too can have the knowledge and skills in just 2 short hours.
